Salad with beets and cabbage to purify the blood

Today we bring you a raw recipe, in which the vegetables preserve all their vitamins, minerals and enzymes. In addition, it contains a lower glycemic index. Enjoy this Salad with beets and cabbage to purify the blood!

The importance of enzymes

Enzymes are organic molecules of a protein nature that are responsible for catalyzing all the biochemical processes of the body, that is, they are regulators of metabolism and the body manufactures enzymes from food.

Some scientists speak of enzymes as the wonderful “sparks of life” since they are essential not only to keep us alive, but also intervene in the aging process. And as we age we lose our enzymes.

My recipe today contains raw beets which are very rich in vitamin C, folic acid, nitric oxide (which improves circulation by helping to cleanse the blood and arteries), antioxidants and minerals. In addition, it has a laxative effect that helps maintain healthy intestinal bacterial flora.

Benefits of cabbage

This recipe contains cabbage or cabbage, very rich in water and fiber. Vitamins A, C, E and B9, and minerals such as sulfur that helps cleanse the liver, alkaline minerals such as potassium and calcium,  and a host of healthy antioxidants.

Carrot benefits

The antioxidant vitamins A, B, C and E in carrots and their powerful Terpenes will contribute to the cleansing of the liver and body tissues.

Benefits of coriander

Ingredients:

  • 1 raw beet, grated (you can use a grater).
  • 1 raw grated carrot.
  • 1 medium piece of grated raw cabbage or cabbage.
  • 1 whole medium onion, chopped.
  • 1 peeled and grated cucumber (squeeze and remove excess water).
  • 1 bunch of fresh cilantro, chopped.
  • Juice of ½ lemon.
  • Extra virgin olive oil.
  • Pinch of salt to taste (unrefined sea salt, Himalayan salt, Guerlande gray salt)

Preparation:

  • Add all the grated vegetables to a large bowl: beet, carrot, cabbage, onion, cucumber and cilantro.
  • Mix very well.
  • Add lemon juice, extra olive oil to taste.
  • Add salt to taste.
